Preschool 2024-2025

 I am excited to open up enrollment for fall 2024. This year I will only be doing a 3 year old class. Your child needs to be 3 by September 1st and be potty trained. 

Classes will be Tues/Thurs 9:30-11:30

Tuition will be $80/month with a one time supply fee of $35

Class size will be no more than 8 students

This past year we started doing field trips and it was so fun! I am hoping to continue that and add more to enhance our learning experiences.

 Little Valley Learners Newsletter

Welcome back! Hopefully you all had a safe and fun summer. Ours was fairly uneventful, but we did have a trip to Washington at the beginning of summer to see my stepdaughter graduate and took advantage of the 3 National Parks there. We ended summer with a trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. 

I’m so excited for this year and have lots of new ideas for how to make this year even better!

Sept 4-8: Welcome, About me bags, Routines, Kindness

Sept 11-15: The Letter A, the number 1 (uno), the color red (rojo), shape: circle, Apples with a field trip to Harper Johnson’s apple orchard in North Mantua (14th). 

Sept 18-22: The letter B, the number 2 (dos), the color red (rojo), shape: circle, 

Sept 25-29: The letter C, the number 3 (tres), the color red (rojo), shape: circle, 

If you haven’t been reading over the summer, it’s the perfect time to start up again! Reading is one of the largest indicators of a child's academic success. 

The Newsletter will be posted on the blog as well as sent out in an email.

Preschool 2023-2024

 

We still have spots for 4 year olds. Class will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9-11. It will be a monthly tuition of $120 and a one time $25 supply fee. We are planning on adding field trips, more singing and some Spanish this year (I'm fluent! -ish, it's been awhile). We are excited to build on what we learned last year along with many new things. One of our favorite lessons for 4 year olds last year was Q for quilt where we got to make our own quilts. That will definitely be repeated this year. With the additional day, we are hoping to really hone our letter sounds and our hand strength and coordination with lots of hands on play. This year is sure to be a great one and we hope to see your little learner in our classroom!

Little Valley Learners Day Camp 2023

We all have great aspirations of doing fun activities with our kids and keeping them off screens. Let me help a little with Summer Day Camp! Each week we will have a different theme with fun activities and crafts. Depending on the number signed up each week, I will have additional help to make sure everyone is safe and included.

Little Valley Learners Newsletter

If April wasn’t the longest, weirdest, snowiest month, I don’t know what was.  Here are a few highlights. Spring Break. I don’t know that 40 inches of snow in 3 days can really count as Spring Break. I hope you were able to escape somewhere a little warmer with a lot less snow. The letter V taught us about volcanoes and the kids could have dumped vinegar into cups of baking soda all. day. long.  Definitely a winner. It was also interesting to see what vegetables they would eat and which ones were a definite NO. Our Walrus puppets were adorable and they loved talking with each other as Walruses. Watermelon was also a hit. X is a difficult letter, but just give them some boXes and they’ll be entertained for hours. 

May 1-5: The letter Y, numbers 4-5, the color black, shape: hexagon, Summer

May 8-12: Mother’s Day, numbers 6-7, the color black, shape: hexagon

May 15-19: The letter Z, numbers 8-9, the color black, shape: hexagon, Zoo

May 22-25: End of year assessments, the color black, shape: hexagon, End of year party

We will celebrate Luke’s birthday on the 9th and Isaac’s birthday on the 23rd. 

Preschool graduation for the older class will be the last 30 minutes of class (2-2:30) in my front yard. Refreshments will be served. Awards will be given. Fun will be had.
